I am a two time triple negative breast cancer survivor! My soulmate boyfriend was the person in the beginning to urge me to get a mammo..and I had cancer. There was no history of breast cancer in my family and I am physically fit working out 5 or more times a week and a non smoker. That diagnose changed my life.
During my illness I spent a lot of hours thinking about my early detection and how many women I knew that were overdue for her mammogram. I got angry and scared for those women and any women who puts off a mammo.
After my recovery I spent all of 2014 running 16, 5K races with a shirt urging women to get a mammo! Along the way I managed to influence so many women to get mammo's! I hear from them thru Facebook, and emails. I felt as though my message was clear......Then in 2015 it struck again:( this time more invasive and aggresive. The good news...again it was early detection and follow up that found it.
It's been a year since the second diagnoses and I feel grateful for everything! But my mission is to influence as many women as I can to get mammos as early detection is what saved my life twice!
