Embracing the Fruits of Eve’s Decision
Do you ever get mad at Eve, of Adam and Eve? I mean think about it, if it wasn’t for her us women would have it a whole heckuva lot easier. Why did she have to listen to that snake and go eat that voluptuously looking piece of fruit in the first place?
Do you ever get mad at Eve, of Adam and Eve?
I mean think about it, if it wasn’t for her us women would have it a whole heckuva lot easier. Why did she have to listen to that snake and go eat that voluptuously looking piece of fruit in the first place? Adam is easier to forgive. He’s just a guy doing what his woman was telling him to. Isn’t that what we all think we want? Well Eve did eat that fruit and life for women was changed forever. There’s nothing we can do about it except embrace all that Eve’s decision and womanhood combined bring our way. If you really stop to think about it, we don’t know what kind of fruit Eve ate. Maybe it was a grape. Grapes make wine. Wine means celebrating, laughing, enjoying the ride life offers.
Life is full of changes after all.
We start out as little girls admiring our mamas, playing dress up and having tea parties. Before long we look down and notice two round bumps on our chest - some of us grateful thinking they would never come, some wishing they’d go away – and we run out to get our first bra. Then we get introduced to Aunt Flo, who will be part of our lives for many years to come. And childbirth. Oh that Eve, we curse her for making us go through childbirth. But then we hold that sweet, adorable baby in our arms for the first time and all is forgiven. We have our first kiss, first dance, and first love. We survive good and bad relationships, raising kids, and learn a lot about ourselves in the process.
Through it all we meet life-long friends and make new ones along the way.
By the time you reach menopause, you know what really matters – good friends and good times. When these are accompanied by a good glass of wine the combination can do wonders for your mind, body and soul.
By the time you’ve arrived at the age of being a hot flashy woman you may start actually thanking Eve.
She can teach us a thing or two. Like we have the choice to try new things, but we should always know there are consequences – both good and bad. She enjoyed that fruit so much she wanted to make sure her husband didn’t miss out either, in essence taking care of him. She was even worried about what clothes she wore! So you see, even though Eve’s decision was life altering for the rest of humanity with an X chromosome, it started a chain of events that can only be shared by women.
